Elaine Kelman, Consultant Speech and Language Therapist and Head of the Michael Palin Centre, London, UK
Elaine Kelman is a consultant speech and language therapist and the head of the Michael Palin Centre for Stammering Children in London. She has contributed to the development of the various therapy programmes for children who stammer, particularly the management of early childhood stammering and has published a number of papers, chapters and books, having co-authored the Palin Parent-Child Interaction Therapy manuals. She participates in the Centre’s international training programme, the research programme and has presented at conferences internationally. Elaine is secretary of the World Stuttering and Cluttering Organization (formerly IFA), chair of the board of the Certified European Stuttering Specialists (formerly European Fluency Specialists), an affiliate of the American Speech and Hearing Association, and a Fellow and clinical advisor of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
