Shelley Brundage is Professor and Chair of the Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences department at George Washington University (GWU) in Washington DC. Shelley obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota in 1993 and taught for ten years at a state university in Minnesota prior to coming to GWU in 2003. Her research addresses the application of virtual reality (VR) technologies to the assessment and treatment of stuttering. Her more recent work has documented the effectiveness VR technologies in teaching and learning. She is the editor for fluency and pre-professional education at the American Journal of Speech-Language Pathology and the membership chair of the International Fluency Association.
